Kisses for Pris

A Kiss for Pris-1

I can’t take my eyes off that girl for a moment. Here I caught her being kissed by a Belle Starr and a Calamity Jane look alike. What am I going to do with her? Her sister will be mortified. Giggle.

  1. Oh dear, she is a flirt, isn’t she? She looks so pleased with herself, too!

  2. Pris! Next thing you’ll be doing is working in a saloon.

  3. That’s right Lori. I can see it all now. I had no idea that Calamity Jane was so glamourous. I have felt like a Calamity Jane for years now :-) and have never managed to look this good. Maybe I can do something with this identity after all. What a wonderful photograph. No wonder P is glowing. All this love and attention is doing wonders for her face.

  4. Who am I to growl at a GIRL getting smouched,
    I only wish it was me ,love a cuddle always have.
    Pris knows that….I wouldn’t be surprised that she knew she would be photographed and that I would get to see it…..
    Sis there are funny topics and even laughable topics but don’t go too far or I will cut you out of the will
    THIS IS THE SAD BIT
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now here is a not so funny subject
    it is called ” THE LEMON TREES DECLINE”
    Yesterday I went to pick some lemons for OUR friend Maree and I noticed this bulb like thing on a stem and when I looked there were more and more of them
    Some were quite large and I cut one off and inside there were all little holes the size of a pin ….
    I noticed that there were 100’s of them all over the tree…..I honestly didn’t know what they were..I just thought perhaps because its 71 years old
    ( Do you remember me telling you that our Dad Albert planted when I was born….and then 18 months later you came along so it was OUR tree)
    It has had a great year well over a 1000 lemons,and I thought that perhaps it was overdoing it and it might have been stressed………….
    So I litterally ran out the front door,around the corner and over the road to OUR friend Angie’s house
    ( Nearly got hit by the local bus as it sped along the road) …I have reported the driver ,I don’t care if he was running late ,the road says 60kph and he was doing at least 100kph……
    You know Angie the Gardener and artist….oh well anyway she wasn’t home so I wrote a note for her to come over immediately she arrived home.
    She came home about 5pm and ambled along the sideway ,to see me up the tree cutting off all the bumps I could find….as per ususal she said…” Get down before you fall down” ..she didn’t say what’s the matter ,what’s the urgency ….
    Si I showed her the tree branches and the BUMPS…….
    “OH” she said….that’s Gall Wasp …the wasp burrows into the tree lays its eggs,they become babies and the little wasps come out and fly away…
    ITS TERMINAL she says there is no way to save the tree…over time they will suck it dry and it will die….” It happens to young and old trees” she says
    I don’t care I cried…I wan’t to die before the tree does.
    I want it to be here when my time is up,.you know what I mean Sis …….I want to be buried under the tree with Mum and Dad
    ” As you know Angie is not the most patient of people,love her but she is not the cuddle kind when you are upset”…..!!!!!!!!!!!
    So this is what my day was like SIS ..while you were cavorting around with pretend actors and actresses ,I was crying my heart out under OUR LEMON Tree …
    I feel a bit better today (Thanks for asking about my health Sis) ..not so weepy as I know there is nothing I can do about it..I have just thought now as I write to you Vi and Ginger I will make you a promise to sit under OUR special tree every day until you come home .
    I ‘m closing Now Pris as I feel like a cry again ..
    sorry about that…but it has affected me more than I had realised..perhaps talking about OUR Mum and Dad too…Love to you all in A.J.x x x Dru…Thursday 15.11.07.
  5. Oh, Lois, that’s a sad story but we have various trees here that have gall wasps and they’ve been here as long as I’ve lived here- 16 years. Healthy, old trees can last a long time with them, apparently, so don’t despair. And Pris, you’re such a charmer, I know Vi is not going to want to let you go! Such an adventure you’ve been on…
  6. Pris clearly knows how to seize the moment and to live with passion!
  7. Lois, I am so sad to hear about your lemon tree, but like I said in my e-mail, you should talk to a tree doctor, maybe he/she can help extend the life of your lemon tree.
    As for that sister of mine, she’s keeping Vi hopping.
    Dru
  8. This is such an amazing pic! P sure does mix with the right folks! Bravo, Vi.
  9. Lois, hope a solution is found for the lemon tree. Sending you a virtual hug.
