P Creates a Yahoo Account

Priscilla has had some help and she has created an account with Yahoo so that she could join the Soul Food Community that lives at Yahoo. Members are able to access this community on any computer anywhere in the world. They can choose to have email delivered to their box or can choose to read all mail online.

Now that she is a member of this group she will receive mail from the webmaster, Heather Blakey, and from members of the Soul Food community.

Because Priscilla is new to the web she had to begin from scratch when she wanted to join in the fun. The first thing she had to do was create an account with Yahoo. If she did not have an account with them she could not join the group. This, like Gmail is a free service. Now that Priscilla has a Yahoo account it will be simple for her to join Flickr, which is their photo album program.

To join Yahoo Priscilla followed simple instructions.

 

Once she created an account Priscilla was able to go to the Soul Food Yahoo Group and request membership. She had to write a short note identifying herself

and then her membership was approved. Priscilla now has full access to the group. Her next step will be to introduce herself and when she is known Heather Blakey, the webmaster of Soul Food, will invite her to have a room at Riversleigh Manor and join the Riversleigh Manor Yahoo group. But more about that later.
